I was pleased to contribute extensively to Arch-Daihaks of Dying Earth, the climactic tournament adventure in Goodman Games’ acclaimed DCC Dying Earth series. Designed as a grand finale, the adventure sees rival cabals of magicians racing across dimensions in pursuit of the legendary God-Husk, an artifact said to grant godlike power over the dying world.
For this project, I created all of the maps, charting the adventure’s bizarre and otherworldly locations as the competing teams journey towards the final challenge via a series of interconnected time bubbles, each presenting a unique challende. To help solve the intricate puzzles, players are provided with unique visual handouts to decipher as they progress through the tournament.
It was a rewarding challenge to create maps, puzzles, and handouts that helped bring this ambitious, dimension-spanning adventure to life. Fully licensed by the Estate of Jack Vance, Arch-Daihaks of Dying Earth serves as a fitting conclusion to the DCC Dying Earth series, and I was proud to help shape the visual experience of its epic finale.
